Juan Araya Allende, a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in regulatory and financial matters, joins Vásquez Urra Abogados as a partner.
Araya Allende previously served as Director of International Affairs, Trade Policy and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Finance, was National Director of Customs twice, as well as Deputy Director of InvestChile. Juan represented the State in international disputes before the World Trade Organization (WTO), and before various international organizations and forums, such as the OECD, WTO, APEC, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He was a regular member of the Commission on Distortions and representative of the Ministry of Finance in various government committees and commissions in the economic and regulatory area.
