Some of the issues discussed were: arbitration v. litigation; the New York Convention, status quo v. potential amendments; updates of the IBA rules on taking of evidence in international arbitration; the Prague rules on the Efficient Conduct of Proceedings in International Arbitration; cost of arbitration and fast track proceedings; ICSID-UNCITRAL Code of Conduct for adjudicators; double hatting in commercial and investment arbitration; recognition and enforcement of awards; and the EU proposal of an Investment Court System, among others.
